This month marks the 36th anniversary of Hillside Chapel and Truth Center on Cascade Road. Dr. Maya Angelou will honor the church with her presence on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 10:30am. (I'd arrive early to get a good seat.) Also, Iyanla Vanzant will be at Hillside on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2pm. Tickets are $36 in advance and $40 at the door. There is a student rate of $30 with valid id. (There is no charge to see Dr. Maya Angelou.)
